In Place of Strife

The Mediation Chambers

Stuart Chapman joins In Place of Strifeís Panel

Friday, 25th November 2016

Stuart Chapman has joined In Place of Strife’s Panel of Mediators.  Stuart, who has been mediating full-time since 2008, has a busy mediation practice.  Since 2010 Stuart has been consistently recommended by the two leading legal directories.  Stuart’s most recent entry in Band 1 of Chambers and Partners directory reads as follows:

“Stuart Chapman is heartily endorsed by market sources, who say he has a "calm, collected and explorative" manner and that he "shows thorough knowledge of the law, appreciation of the circumstances and takes the necessary approach to get a good result." He is experienced in property, chancery and commercial disputes as well as professional negligence cases ranging from small to multimillion-pound claims.”

“We are thrilled that Stuart has decided to join In Place of Strife.  His reputation as a top class mediator precedes him and we expect that with us his practice will continue to flourish”, said Mark Jackson-Stops, Head of Chambers.

Stuart started his career at a magic circle law firm. He became a partner (and Head of Litigation in Leeds) at Pinsents Masons in 1998, where he remained until 2008 when he left practice to become a full-time independent mediator.

He was accredited as a mediator by CEDR in 2004 and now has a practice of 50 plus mediations a year.

Stuart will continue to operate nationally and internationally.
