The London Legal Walk 2020 goes national!

On Monday 5th October, a number of IPOS Mediators will be donning their walking shoes and supporting the London Legal Support Trust by walking 10k in aid of very important cause. Usually the London Legal Walk, as its name suggests(!), takes place in London with thousands of lawyers coming together to support a broad spread of legal charities. However, this year the walk has gone virtual meaning that we will instead be walking from where we are and sharing our efforts virtually. Our mediators, reflecting their national spread, will be taking part in Scotland, Yorkshire, Hertfordshire and London.

This year, more than ever, has been a terrible year for the poorest and most disadvantaged people in our community. The need for specialist help in areas such as benefits, debt, employment, housing and community care has risen dramatically. Simultaneously the ability of agencies to earn legal aid income or to raise charitable funds has reduced to a minimum. And therefore we really hope that you can support us in raising much needed funds for charities that provide life changing legal advice and representation to those in need.
