University College London (UCL) took the first prize at the third Mediation Skills Competition.
The competition, which was sponsored by Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance and Linklaters (who hosted the event over the weekend of 13-15 January 2013, tested the negotiation skills of UK law students from eight Universities and Law Schools. Experienced mediators acted as Judges and Mediators. The competition was designed as a learning experience for the students who were given feedback after each round.
The winning team from UCL receive a free entry into the 8th ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition taking place in Paris form 8th February 2013 in which over 60 teams from around the world will compete with one another.
