Throughout December and January, IPOS will be donating part of our fees earned from mediation cases booked to St George's Crypt, a homeless charity based in Leeds.
In their own words:
'St George’s Crypt has come a long way from its roots back in 1930, but the vision remains; supporting the homeless and vulnerable of Leeds.
They provide comprehensive support with love, care and hope as the central foundation. This includes coverage for their residential projects—Don Robins House, Regent Lodge and Growing Rooms to name a few—as well as their Overnight Centre, which provides emergency bedrooms.
They have built a range of social enterprises in retail and catering, and offer development and training opportunities to their homeless and vulnerable clients.
The immediate practical assistance they offer ensures individuals receive essential care such as meals, shower facilities, and clothing. Beyond these basics, they prioritize fostering life skills, self-confidence, and a sense of accomplishment among residents.
Within St George's Crypt, individuals have the opportunity to make choices that lead to positive change. By offering prayer, support, and the opportunity and tools to change, they create an environment that supports personal growth and transformation.
And these days, with all the advances in technology, if you want to support them to deliver the amazing service they do, 24/7/365, giving couldn't be easier! You can donate online at their website, print out a donation poster with embedded QR code (we can provide this!) which will go straight to their donation portal. Have a look on their corporate landing page (https://www.stgeorgescrypt.org.uk/partner-with-us) to see how your organisation can get involved. If you have good quality clothes, are having a house clearance or have unwanted Christmas presents, then donate these and whatever can't be used with their clients will go to their shops, which provide vital funds. Or gift a celebrations box of chocolates or a lynx deodorant set that can be given out at Christmas as a present to someone coming in for their Christmas Day. Everything you are able to give will go towards providing an amazing service to the homeless and vulnerable of Leeds!'
And we hope to be able to contribute towards these efforts with the help of our clients. You can find out more on their websiteabout what they do.
Thank you, in advance, for your support!
