Liz specialises exclusively in workplace conflicts – working with boards and team members to get key working relationships back on track. Her background includes law, psychotherapy and leadership coaching.
Her psychotherapy and coaching expertise enable her to bring empathy and insight to her work, coupled with a deep understanding of organisational dynamics. She balances this with commercial pragmatism gained from over a decade’s experience as a commercial litigator with global law firm Eversheds Sutherland.
Liz is particularly experienced in mediating conflicts that have a D&I dimension.
She was the first woman in the UK to become a CEDR Accredited Mediator back in 1992 and has worked full time as a mediator since 1997. She is recommended in the Legal 500.
‘[Liz Rivers is] able to build a real sense of trust from the outset. She has the ability to help business leaders see their common aims, helping to repair relationships.'
She is also the Co-Founder of Purpose Power Presence, a consultancy that offers programmes for women leaders.
Most likely to say: “Conflict is a mirror – you can either try to cover the mirror up or you can look in it and see what you learn”
Fun fact: Liz has successfully mediated between two stars in a reality TV show
